Calligraphy by Liz Burch

These panels are more complex. Virgin and Christchild was for a top window in a stairwell of a small Victorian Roman Catholic Primary School in Camden Town, London, UK. It was inspired by images seen at Chartres Cathedral.

The Windhover window was a private commissioni and uses the image of kestrel heavily painted and stained. It is a Victorian inspired design with text from a poem by Gerald Manley Hopkins reading "Let me be to Thee as the circling bird" . The calligraphy was designed by Liz Burch with clear spaces for yellow stain to enliven the text.

Ganesha Ganypati was a private commission based on the Hindu God Ganesha Dancing. Ganesh is the Remover of Obstacles and the Patron of all new beginnings. It is based on Indian temple art and decorative details and features a figure taken from carvings in the Temple of Khajarahu.
